Dear Paddlers,
The Tulipaddle Team (TTT) has decided to organize the 3rd edition of the Tulipaddle Challenge which will take place the 24 April 2011 during the Easter weekend. We hope this date will offer us a sunny day to enjoy the flower blooming.

We are looking forward seeing you next year!

Latest update (friday 16th April 2010)
Marking done today. The fowering is better than expected but still not many tulip fields but more narcissus/hyanciths fields.
Nice views during the route!

Weather forecast perfect!! (sunny and fresh air to cool down the machine.. )

Hello Paddlers,

The race director and me cycled 110km saturday to check the flower fields (the narcissus and hyacinths are blooming and the tulips are coming slowly out) and the channels in order to determine the nicest route…
Not easy to combine beautifull landscapes and wide channels for paddling but we will find out the best way…  
Tomorrow (thursday), I am going to mark a part of the channels and finalize the final route.
Friday, have a look at 8-9 pm, I might give some additional information.

The location of the racing spot: City Noordwijkerhout, Oosterduinse Meer, Parking of the camping Sollasi.

Mr Demeijer (the camping manager) will let the gate open during the whole day in order to avoid to pay at every car moves.

For the schedule:
08.00: Arrival of TTT and installation of the material
08.30: Welcome
09.00: Registration checking and fees (30€)
09.15: Briefing
09.30: Final craft preparation and material checking
10.00-10.30: Start of the race for all categories (PB, SUP, SS, OC)
12.00: First arrival expected
14.00: Last arrival expected
15.00: Last arrival authorized
15.30: Results and prizes

The starting and paddling rules/indications will be explained/provided during the briefing.
The barbecue will start from 13.++

The weather forecast is rather good: 80% sunny but only 11°C in the air…
The water temperature is fresh (12°C) and a wetsuit might be necessary for the PBer (paddleboarder).
There will be apparently no wind… great for the SUP!

The Tulipaddle challenge will take place the 17 April 2010. We hope this date will offer us a sunny day to enjoy the flower blooming.
